Our Manifesto

Higher education institutions are extraordinary. Their dual purpose of research and education results in cutting-edge solutions to global issues and develops the enquiring minds and critical analysis skills of the innovators and leaders of today and tomorrow.

They need extraordinary leaders, at all levels. In a rapidly changing and volatile world, the sector and their leadership must be flexible and ready to adapt to shifting needs and to anticipate future challenges.

CatalystHE focuses on developing leaders in the higher education sector.  We are passionate about the impact of universities in society, and want universities to succeed and thrive.

We come from universities, and we understand the ethos, culture and vagaries of our sector. We have each held leadership roles, as academics and professionals, in a range of universities in the UK and internationally. We understand the issues being faced, and can empathise with your staff as they grow and flourish in their roles.  Equality, diversity and inclusion within higher education are of key importance to leaders, and one that we recognise and can focus on.

We are fully trained and accredited coaches, and bring a considerable experience in leadership coaching and development to our clients.

Our purpose is to ensure that higher education institutions of all types develop the leaders that will help them prosper.

Our Clients

Andrew was able to provide a highly engaging coaching experience, which allowed me to reflect, refresh and refine my leadership journey from Associate Dean to Dean. He was able to add value to each coaching session by drawing upon his extensive and wide-ranging experience in order to create fresh insights for me.

This ultimately lead to informing a set of development actions that really helped to transform my perspective.

Sarah has supported me through a point of transition in my career, and her input has been truly invaluable. She has helped me to completely change my approach to some aspects of work, and to develop strategies to better manage others. Sarah is the ideal coach – kindness and empathy personified, whilst simultaneously incisive and practical. She expertly balances delivering flexible, expansive sessions with meeting clearly defined goals, and is an adept and responsive listener.
